These are general guidelines. Additional, specific guidelines for every category are below. Please read all the way to the bottom.

• It is absolutely essential that your post should not have been previously published. If you send your piece to another website or publication or website, please inform us of your decision to withdraw it from The Kashmir Walla.
• We are ONLY interested in original, unpublished manuscripts. Your work MUST be unpublished. (If a translation, the translation must not have been published. The original may have been.)
• After publication in The Kashmir Walla, it may be published elsewhere provided due credit is given to The Kashmir Walla and a link to the post.
• We try to respond within a week to let you know whether we are publishing the piece. Please be patient.
• Please include a brief bio of yourself.
• We do not pay for any submissions for now.
• The best formats to send your post (in this order) are .doc and html email. Text Size: 12-14. Text Font: Times New Roman. Please do not send your post as plain text email or as .pdf files. 

Daily Post

You can send us any comment article, feature story, profile, poetry, fiction or photo feature which you think has timeliness to publish. Comment articles or features should not be more than 1000 words. 

Magazine 

For the monthly magazine issue, you can send us your work which falls in the three topics we focus on - Politics, Society and Art. The submission can be a story, profile, interview, photo essay, comment, reviews, essay or travelogue.

Blogs

You can send us Blog piece on any contemporary issue, with critical arguments or experiences. Blog posts shouldn't be more than 600 words. You can also have your regular weekly Blog by writing to us, showing interest for the blog. Please read General Guidelines above for the Blog section before submitting your work.

You will be informed about the status of your submission in two weeks. Please follow our submission guidelines closely, otherwise your submission will be misdirected and you may not receive a response. For submission please click on "Submit" below.
